TY3PD module project to design and make physical and digital packaging for a re-issue of an album of choice. The objectives of this project fell into three areas: finding out, designing and making. Evidence of research and understanding for the genre of music, and the individual artist/album.
‘Mm..Food’ is the fifth studio album by MF Doom, released via Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2004. “Mm..Food flips countless edible metaphors over hard-hitting, jazzy beats, while never devolving into pointless parody.” The title, Mm..Food is an anagram of ‘MF Doom’.
The front of the vinyl cover represents DOOM in the way that he should be remembered, for his villainous persona and his ability to spit intricate rhymes on the mic. Using an illustrative style, to match conventional DOOM covers, making it the perfect commemorative piece.
  
MF Doom was created as an alter ego with a backstory that could be referenced in bars. DOOM wore a mask similar to that of Marvel Comics supervillain Doctor Doom. The inner sleeve features a variety of comic panels of Dr Doom, all colour matched to keep the purple/green consistent throughout.
The track titles and lyrics are all scattered with references to different foods that act as metaphors and double entendres having different meanings from the street to the supermarket. The track list takes direct influence from a shopping receipt, each title represents as an item, with the length represented by the price.
The back cover uses DOOM graffiti throw with the halftone gradient style of the text on the front cover. followed by the traditional information you would find; record label, barcode, track list.
Marketing done through Rhymesayers website, as the products I produced fits a theme that is consistent throughout their already existing store.  Products found through the rhymesters website include limited 'Mm..Food' vinyl, t-shirt and roach sheet. Advertising through Rhymesayers social media ensures the vinyl is seen by DOOMs target audience and existing fans.
