TY3TYP project to create a typeset to fit within the brief. Planning of family styles, key dimensions within the body, stroke modulation range, alignments in horizontal and vertical and transitions between elements are all considerations to be made.
Diablo Blackletter was created as a challenge to myself to create a typeset in which I needed knowledge of its historical uses and how they were traditionally created. I applied this knowledge alongside modern technology to produce this blackletter display typeface.
This typeset would typically be used for headings, logos, posters and signs. An example of this could be a newspaper heading;
